There's a new answer to "how do I become a barber in Arkansas," and it's in the heart of Saline County. Capitol Barber College opened this summer at 1220 Military Road in Benton with one mission: train, equip, and graduate the best barbers in the state.

Hands-on from day one

Capitol's approach is real chair time, early and often. Students work with real clippers on real clients with an instructor by their side, alongside a comprehensive curriculum covering cutting, shaving, styling, sanitation, and the business side of barbering, everything needed to pass the state boards and build a career.

A $10 haircut that helps train the next generation

Here's the part the whole town should know: the college is open to the public. Walk in Tuesday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, no appointment needed. Haircuts and shaves are $10 and beard trims are $4. Every service is performed by a student with an instructor right there, so you get a careful cut and the students get the practice that makes them great.
